Lumiere Festival returns to the West End

On Saturday, December 3 rd we will see the return of Luna the Lumiere Whale in Vancouver’s West End.

In addition, new art installations will grace Jim Deva Plaza. Jim Deva Plaza will be alive with light art, performances and community building initiatives.

Luna will located at Davie and Denman streets (English Bay), sparkling with 6,000 twinkling bulbs.

The City of Vancouver approved an allocation of 45 thousand dollars towards a series of artist lighting projects in Jim Deva Plaza to be held by Lumiere Festival Society in partnership with the West End Business Improvement Association.

Watch for new installations supported by the Burrard Arts Foundation and planned for several locations throughout the West End. Jim Deva Plaza and Morton Park at English Bay will come alive during the event launch on December 3 rd . Three new installations from artists Tangible Interaction, Hfour and Erdem Tasdelen will be part of this years celebration. DJ Grayson Repp will spin in Jim Deva Plaza.
