I Am A Drummer
Mission: To Elevate and Celebrate the Female Voice
Kiran Gandhi, known by her stage name Madame Gandhi, is an electronic music artist based in Los Angeles and was the former drummer for M.I.A.
The 27 year old feminist and musician is known for being an all round bad ass. Kiran Gandhi blends activism and artistry with her Los Angles based band, Madame Gandhi.
Madame Gandhi can be found on SoundCloud and features the bands latest tracks.
“When I say, ’the future is female,’ it doesn’t mean one gender is superior than the other, it means that we will one day live in a world where we deeply value female energy.” -Kiran Gandhi
Having gained recognition as the former drummer for M.I.A. and as the iconic free-bleeding runner at the 2015 London Marathon, Madame Gandhi now writes music that elevates and celebrates the female voice.
Few find their purpose in life so young, and few have the bravery to commit fully to this purpose. For Madame Gandhi the stage has become a platform for women’s rights; and a message of empowerment not objectivity.
Presented by LICK REUNITED and hosted by AUTOKRAT and Skylar Love, Madame Gandhi brings her live percussion and DJ Set to The Waldorf, 1489 E. Hastings Street on Saturday, May 6, 2017.
The Waldorf features 2 levels, chill lounge and dance floor. Nobody will be turned away for lack of funds says, Skylar Love. Should you require admission assistance you can email Skylar Love 24 hours in advance to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Madame Gandhi has been featured in LA Weekly, Rolling Stone, Fusion, Cosmopolitan, Vice, MTV, People, Huff-post Women, NBC New, Buzz Feed, the Village Voice, Time, and many more well known publications around the world.
