Vancouver’s Iconic, and favorite, High NRG Dance Band will hold it’s 4 th annual Pride Kick-off Show on August 4 th at the Vancouver’s famous Commodore Ballroom.
Queer As Funk always brings high energy with it’s repertoire. Renowned for it’s tight rhythm, hot horns, and killer vocals, the band explodes on stage.
Queer as Funk continues to make history as a Queer positive force in Vancouver’s LGBTQ community. The play-list includes covers from many Motown legends, and Amy Winehouse, Mayer Hawthorne, and Bruno Mars.
The band members are: Alison Gorman on trumpet, Connie Buna vocals, Jocelyn Macdougall vocals, Luis”Babyface” Melgar on keyboard and trombone, Dan Shook on saxophone, Marc Van Rosi on guitar, Pebbles Willekes on bass, and Sally Zori on drums.
The crowd at Queer as Funk shows are never satisfied, in fact they always want more. One number that really gets the audience jumping is Uptown Funk.
