World AIDS Day 2017, Aboriginal AIDS Awareness Week in Canada

The theme for World AIDS Day 2017 is My Health, My Right.

World AIDS Day takes place on the 1st of December each year. This year marks the launch of Aboriginal AIDS Awareness Week 2017 in Canada.

Remember those we loved, those we lost, those who fought, those who survive.

Positive Living BC invites you to World AIDS Day community forum at the Carnegie Community Centre for “Beyond Skin Deep” December 1st, 5:45 PM, 401 Main Street.

Aboriginal AIDS Awareness Week

Aboriginal AIDS Awareness Week concludes on December 6th, with A Mile In Our Moccasins, in Vancouver. This event will bring together community members from around the theme, We are More than HIV. Hosted by the Provincial Health Services Authority, CAAN.

The event will be opened with an Elder prayer, followed by remarks by Ken Clement. The Film Screening of Youth Film, A Mile in Our Moccasins, performance by indigenous youth drum and song group, and a closing prayer.
