“The STRUT launch was held on March 28th, 2015 at the Junction cabaret in Vancouver’s Davie Village . STRUT is a one-mile walk-a-thon in heels for LGBT + refugees, asylum seekers, and newcomers to Canada. The whole concept behind STRUT centers around what a privilege it is to freely express one’s gender identity in Canada, without fear of government or societal persecution”.
This should be one fun event and I am sure some hilarious moments, but its for a serious issue and a way to raise important funds and raise awareness.
You can get involved by joining as an individual or group. STRUT is a community event, and we want to include everyone and encourage participation.
